Marae Visit

On Monday, 16th February, Room 14 and our Buddy Class, Room 1, went to Te Ahu A Turanga Marae in Woodville. We are working on writing recounts about our visit. We are trying to plan our writing, thinking about Who, When, Where and What.
So far, this is what some of us have written:
"Yesterday Room 1 and Room 14 went to the marae and the adults took us in cars. We had lots of fun! Mary-Anne told us stories about Okatia. He found the Manawatu Gorge because he pushed down a concrete wall. It was made out of bricks". By Joshua
Keira wrote: "Yesterday, on Wednesday, Room 14 and Room 1 went to the marae. The people at the marae are nice. They taught us a lot of things. The marae visit was fun. They taught us what the patterns mean. We got a lot of detail about the marae".

Bunny Visit

Angela brought her rabbits to school for a visit. One was called Sparkle and one was Poppy.
Angela wrote: " I am holding the rabbit. I like holding the rabbit. The rabbits like you when you pat them. The rabbits had fun at school. They ran around heaps of children".
It was lovely to see the rabbits. Thank you, Angela, for bringing them in to share with us!
